Kristy LeVasseur, IOM
Communications Director
Kristy LeVasseur joined CICE in 2024 as communications director. She has worked extensively on strategy creation, campaign design and execution, writing multi-million dollar proposals and grants, event management, and community outreach.
Kristy's career has been focused on connecting people in the communications, media, and business development spaces, most recently for the chamber of commerce and construction industries. She has been a speaker at conferences advocating for regional collaboration to boost economic growth and the economic benefits of expanding agritourism. Kristy is involved with local and regional leadership development initiatives and continues to use her communication skills to help local non-profits grow. She also serves on the board of one of the largest private non-profit nature centers in the United States and a regional food rescue non-profit.
Kristy holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Central Michigan University and a secondary teaching certification from Saginaw Valley State University. She earned her IOM (Institute for Organization Management) certification from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2015. Kristy lives in Michigan, where she loves to spend time 'up north' on any lake within reach.
